But often it comes when you need to track the location of sender to help you guess about the sender. And to track address of sender first we need to retrieve IP address is the sender from the mail and then convert that IP address in location with help of no of websites which offer this feature.
How to retrieve IP address from email.
Doing this is quite different in all email providers and we are to discuss Yahoo and Gmail one by one.
On Gmail
Step 1:- Open the mail you want to inspect.
Step 2:- Click on more arrow button on right top corner and select show original from the drop down list.
Step 4:- In the code appeared search for "Received: from". Just in front of it the IP address of the sender will be available. Just after it will be exact time and date of mail sent.
On Yahoo
In Yahoo first open the m mail and then look at the links on bottom of the page. Click on More from there which will take you to the page containing all details of the mail and now you have to repeat step 4 of gmail section.
